talking to strangers
I sometimes forget that there are actual businessmen/women who use bear for their work. And they end up on the discover feed. I saw someone post about booking calls for their business, but before clicking, I thought it was them just asking for his readers to book calls with him.
The only reason I'd think that is because that is something I would to. I love talking.
One time I posted on reddit to find people to have phone calls with. I talked to a few people. Some i spoke with for weeks. I really like phone calls.
I spoke on the phone with some American living in Taiwan because I had many questions and didn't feel like texting. We spoke for 2 hours. Just some midwestern dad in New Taipei.
Gen Z likes to text. I usually do too. but when it's a stranger, I feel like I can get to know them better though phone calls. It is a time sink for sure, but it's never disappointed. Plus, i can multitask while talking. Texting requires a more active presence. And if they act weird, you give them negative reinforcement through hanging up and blocking, instead of ghosting. It hurts so much more to be hung up on versus being ghosted.
