Unpopular opinions
These are my opinions. If you can make me change my very stubborn mind then you are dangerous.
Social Media Activism
I do not think that reposting an infographic makes you an activist. I remember during BLM in 2014, people posted black squares on their Instagram to show solidarity. I posted it. Then realize that it doesn't do anything.
I had 10 followers, and I was in middle school. During BLM in 2020, people would accuse you of not caring if you didn't repost an infographic. Firstly, all my followers are friends whom I know are aware of the problems in the world. Secondly, how do you know realize that those accounts that create infographics are just trying to make money off of engagement.
Go outside. Write something on your car, or your locker. Wear a pin on your body. Show that you care beyond the 24 hours that infographics stay on your Instagram story.
Every since I realized that neoliberals just post that shit to seem like they care made me change my view on this.
Donald Trump just wants stock manipulation
He is just on office to manipulate stocks for other rich people. That's his main goal. He probably owes some of them.
Black Hairstyles
Non-black people can wear whatever style. It will probably not look good on them or be healthy for their hair...but they can do it. I don't think it matters. But there is reason their hair often falls out in clumps yet my hair will often thrive in some of these styles...
Blogging is not Always an Escape from the Mainstream
Especially if you blog about trends. Or politics. Or tech. That is mainstream.
Places like neocities are much better since many of the people on there made personal websites. An online diary or a coding project. Not a blog about AI (the billionth one). My blog is an escape for me. I used to be addicted to TikTok in college. Then it was Reddit. But writing seems so much more beneficial to me. It's not about mainstream tech, trends, or politics unless it's directly relevant to my life. That's what personal blogs are about. And unless your hobby is LLMs(?), talking about them is not a personal blog. It's a tech blog. I've been catfished into thinking that people have personal blogs when I don't even see one post about THEM or THEIR THOUGHTS. Its all about the inventions of OpenAI or Gemini or Claude. Which is fine! but that is not personal.
