nothing and everything is hot
There are some things that I find attractive that aren't things people tend to associate with being attractive.
I was surfing the web 🤓. And i came across a Blogger blog (a blog posted on Blogger). Blogger is very old school, and I have an old blog on there too.
Blogger contains some gems and much more simply-designed blogs.
The blog format was sooo old school.
Very plain.
A white background.
Barely any customizations.
Everything center-aligned.
BIG FUCKING FONT
(Red and blue font at times.)
And lots of italicization!!!
Like a website that the old-schoolconspiracy theoristshave.
This guy was not a conspiracy theorist, just very passionate about his beliefs... i think.
It was attractive.
I’m talking about a webpage design, by the way. not the content and not the author. I don’t even know what he looks like.
You know what else i find attractive?
bilingualism.
You don't have to speak Italian to be sexy. You can speak Beijing Mandarin too; the dialect that many Mandarin speakers cringe at. "今儿没事儿，去前门儿玩儿会儿。" so sexy儿
Am i attracted to bilingualism or the underlying assumption that they have intercultural competence? I have no idea, but competence is sexy.
I think that looking at attraction as black and white is stupid.
If i had a conventionally unattractive, old, bilingual guy with a fucked up Scientology-looking blog versus a young, tall gym-bro with a modern tech blog, I'M PICKING THE FORMER. ten times over, im picking the former.
